Obituary of Nancy Ann Mielenz

Nancy Ann Mielenz, 80, of Netcong, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born in Bronx, NY, on February 5, 1943, Nancy resided in Hopatcong for 43 years prior to moving to Netcong in 2019.

Nancy will be remembered for her quick wit, never-ending love, and devotion to her loved ones. In addition, Nancy was known for randomly bursting into song and making up her own lyrics to classic favorites. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Nancy was retired from her employment as a day care aide. She was a parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents James and Marjorie (Gannon) Quinn and her brother James Quinn.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years Fredric Mielenz, daughter Laura Bailey and husband Jim, daughter Jennifer Melito and husband Philip, son Thomas Mielenz, four grandchildren—Edward, Kendall, Brett, and Jade—and sister Eileen Walls.

Nancy's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering to be announced by her family at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the COPD Foundation.
