Obituary of Dorothy N. Braun

Dorothy N. Braun (nee Weber) formerly of Byram Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at her home in Hackettstown, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old. Dottie was born on August 9, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Wilhelm and the late Friedel (Pferech) Weber and grew up in Wuestenrot, Germany. Dottie along with her late husband Kurt, owned and operated Braun's Aluminum Products in Byram, NJ for many years before retiring. Dottie resided in Byram Twp., NJ for many years and she also lived in Morehead City, North Carolina. She was a longtime member of the Community Church of Mt. Lakes. In addition to her wonderful sense of humor, Dottie enjoyed gardening, baking, camping and Broadway musicals but most importantly, Dottie loved spending time with her cherished family and many dear friends. Dottie was also very active in her local community where she was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a Girl/Cub Scout Leader. Dottie is survived by her devoted daughter, Heidi (Braun) McNerney and her husband, Frank and her son, Christopher Braun and his wife, Patti. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren; Ryan and Christina McNerney, Kurtis Braun, Mitchell Braun and his wife, Meika and Marshall Braun and his wife, Norden, her nephew Freddy Braun, her cousin, Ann Auerweck and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Kurt in 2014. Dottie's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Thursday, February 15th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a 6:30 pm Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
