Obituary of Deborah Sleppin-Schultz

Deborah Sleppin-Schultz of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years old. Deborah was born on September 22, 1947 in Lebanon, Pa. to the late Peter and the late Pauline (Greiner) Salus.

Deborah was employed in retail sales for many years before retiring. She was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, NJ. Deborah enjoyed traveling and seeing the country with her husband John. She was also fond of dining at many different restaurants, but most importantly, Deborah loved spending time with her cherished family and dear friends.

Deborah is survived by her beloved husband, John Schultz and her devoted daughters; Lainie Sleppin and her partner, Marisol Castellanos (who also served as Deborah's caregiver for many years) and Staci Nicholls. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren, Paige and Dylan, her step-daughter, Jennifer Hansen and several additional relatives and dear friends.

Deborah's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, February 25th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a "Sharing of Words Ceremony" at 2:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. To honor Deborah's memory the family requests that all in attendance please wear a leopard print and/or a pink garment. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
