Obituary of Leonard Martin Greer

Leonard M. Greer of Manchester, NJ and formerly of Hopatcong passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old.

Leonard was born on February 27, 1946 in Upstate New York to the late Stanley Greer & Elvira (Kohler) Greer. Leonard was a proud retired Union Sheet Metal Worker for Local 28 in NYC. His hobbies were reading, writing Op-Eds, golf, fishing and loved working and building with his hands. Leonard belonged to a Lutheran Church, Golf Club, Bocce Club, Shuffle-Board Club and was also the building inspector at Leisure Village West. His greatest hobby of all was spending time with his family and continuing on generational traditions.

Leonard is survived by his wife Lucille of 60 years. His children Frank Greer and his wife Margherita, Michael Greer and his wife Susan & Michele Greer and her fiancé Jeff. His grandchildren Joseph Greer, Alyx Greer, Sarah Gonzalez, Julia Greer, Marlee Greer, Nickolas Greer and Erik Gjelsvik. Great Grancdchildren Addison Jefferson and Luca Gonzalez. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his entire world. He is also survived by his siblings Stanley Greer and Audrey Greer. He is predeceased by his sister Joan Greer.

Leonard's Memorial Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 26 from 4pm to 8pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
