Obituary of Frank A. Parrillo, Sr.

Frank A. Parrillo, Sr. of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Merry Heart Assisted Living surrounded by his loving family.  He was 86 years old.  Frank was born on May 28, 1937 in Newark, NJ to the late Benjamin and the late Catherine (Cerone) Parrillo.

Mr. Parrillo was an accountant with West Electric Company in Newark and AT&T in Bedminster for many years before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong.

Frank took great pride in the keeping of family traditions and loved to decorate for the holidays.  He was a very patriotic man and proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Frank enjoyed Sunday dinners and attending parades but most importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family. 

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Marian (nee Sebold), his devoted daughter, Geralyn Tygar and her husband, Scott, his cherished grandchildren; Christopher Tygar, Dana Tygar and Alexandra Parrillo and his daughter-in-law, Catherine Parrillo.   He was pre-deceased by his son, Frank A. Parrillo, Jr. on January 10, 2024 as well as his nine siblings.

Frank’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, April 4^th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.  There will be a funeral mass offered on Friday, April 5^th at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong, NJ.  Frank will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.  All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
