Obituary of Lois T. O'Connor

Lois T. O'Connor, 76, of Mt. Arlington, passed away peacefully on Friday March 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 20, 1947 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Angelo Mongiello and the late Barbara Marino, Lois has resided in Mt. Arlington for 47 years. She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management from the College of St. Elizabeth.

Lois was the former Director of Human Resources at Compac Corporation from 1999-2009 and former Planning Board and Land Use Clerk at the Borough of Mt. Arlington from 1980-2002. From 2009 until her passing, Lois was an Avon Representative where she made many dear friends along the way.

She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, dancing, going to the beach, boating and camping. Lois' greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends.

Lois is predeceased by her husband; Robert in 2020.

Survivors include her children; Keith O'Connor, Colleen Santarpia (Frank) and Kyle O'Connor (Karen), grandchildren; Colin, Stella, Nate, Aiden, Mason, Keegan, Kipp and Killian, sister Kathleen Luscombe, sister-in-law; Elizabeth O'Connor and brothers-in-law; Richard O'Connor (Debra), James O'Connor and William O'Connor (Carolyn). Also surviving is her partner; Frank Ferraro.

Lois' Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday April 4, 2024 beginning at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849. Lois will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, NJ immediately following the conclusion of Mass.
