Obituary of Peter N. Sniffen

Peter N. Sniffen of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old, born on September 24, 1946 in Flushing, NY to the late Kaleb and the late Louise (Eckler) Sniffen. Peter was employed by Auchter Industrial Vac. in Linden, NJ for many years before retiring. During Peter's employment with Auchter Vac, he was also a first responder during the 9/11 tragedy. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Diane (Stajek), his son Matthew Sniffen, daughter in-law Stephanie, and his siblings; Nancy Sniffen, Richard Sniffen, and his pre-deceased brother David Sniffen. Additional survivors include his cherished grand-daughter Leah and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Peter's Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Patrick's Pub, 470 River Styx Road, Hopatcong, NJ.
