Obituary of Zenobia Anc

Zenobia Anc, 94, of New York City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, at her daughter's home in Hopatcong, NJ surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Poland on March 1, 1930 to the late Wladyslaw and Maria (Wyka) Doniec, Zenobia came to the United States in 1974 and settled in New York City.

Zenobia was the owner/operator of Flower Cottages in Lake George, NY. She loved gardening, nature and taking walks. She was very fond of being a "New Yorker" and her residential life in New York City's East Village. She also enjoyed spending winters in Miami Beach. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church in New York, NY for 50 years.

Zenobia was predeceased by her first husband Marian Sobczak, her second husband Zenon Anc both in 2001 and her brothers Boleslaw and Ryszard Doniec.

Survivors include her daughters; Ursula Szymala and husband Bogdan and Elzbieta Nowak and husband Stanislaw, grandchildren; Jacob Szymala, Michael Nowak, Matthew Nowak, Konrad Szymala and Annette Dea, great grandchildren; Franciszek Nowak, Julianna Szymala, Nicolette Szymala and Karolina Nowak, and sister; Henryka Synowka.

Zenobia's Life Celebration will include visiting on Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday May 1, 2024 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Zenobia will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA immediately following Mass.
