Obituary of Edward Dougherty

Edward Dougherty, 88, long-time resident of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Randolph.

Born in Teaneck, NJ on December 7, 1935 to the late Hiram and the late Della (Costello) Dougherty, Edward resided in Landing and Green Township prior to moving to Randolph one year ago.

Edward served proudly in the United States Army. He was the owner/operator of Circle Lanes, Ledgewood, NJ prior to his retirement. He was a parishioner of Good Shepherd RC Church in Andover, NJ.

Survivors include his wife Virginia "Ginny" (Bargellini), children; Andrew Dougherty, Jodianne Dougherty, Edward Dougherty, Jr. and Keith Dougherty, grandchildren; Lindsey Hosler, Kelsi Hosler, Sarah Hosler, Hannah Dougherty, Abigail Dougherty, Katie Dougherty and Dalton Dougherty and great grandson; Riley Hendershot.

Edward is predeceased by his brothers; Charles, Billy and Andrew and sisters; Mildred and Della.

Edward's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Wednesday May 8, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Edward's memolry to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
