Obituary of Harold B. Meyer Jr.

Harold B. Meyer, Jr. of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old. Harold was born on August 12, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Harold B., Sr. and the late Alice Huppach Meyer.

Harold was a Union Construction Worker with Local #711 in Morristown for many years before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Lake Hopatcong and parishioner of Star of the Sea RC Church. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #245. He often enjoyed a nice glass of "Johnny" wine but most importantly, Harold cherished his time with his loving family and friends.

Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lynn (Costello) and his son, Jason Meyer and his wife, Jennifer. Additional survivors include his cherished grandsons, Landon and Logan, his brother, Paul Meyer and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Harold was pre-deceased by his sister, Laura DeMaria and his brother, Richard Meyer.

Harold's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Wednesday, May 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Prayer Service offered on Thursday morning, May 23rd at 10:00 am also at the funeral Home. Harold will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ immediately following the Prayer Service.
