My father’s love language was gift giving. In fact, to our kids, he was a great representation of Santa Claus. He always made sure they had a wonderful Christmas. He made sure my brother and I had some fantastic experiences as well. We went SCUBA diving, snowmobiling, riding mini bikes, and boating. In high school, he sent us each on a field trip overseas where we learned to appreciate the importance of history. My father loved to have fun. He enjoyed amusement parks and made sure we had the total experience. He loved holidays, and he never missed an opportunity to be the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny or Santa. The 4th of July was always a bang at our house! Even in his later years, when he couldn’t get around very well, he was bringing happiness to his neighbors by sharing what he had with them. He taught me a lot, and I will miss our talks. I am glad he knew how much I appreciated him. No regrets! Love, Judy

I had the pleasure of getting to know Jerry at Merry Heart since my grandmother is right across the hall from his room. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Jerry was always a very nice guy to talk to, and he was diligent in giving my grandma bottles of water to keep in her room. Extra sweet was that he always slightly opened them for her prior to sending because he knew she has difficulty opening them herself. Thank you, Jerry, and my condolences to the family!

I just heard the news. He will always be "Mr. Girard" to me. I first met him when I was in grammer school, and he scared the hell out of me. He seemed so big and intimidating! But I was all wrong!
will always remember him driving his snowmobile through the trails and sinking his Jeep through the ice on Lake Hopatcong.
Mr. Girard was always kind to me, and I have had many nice conversations with him over the years.
My condolences to Marc and the extended family.
God Bless.

John, Yes, so many memories, and yes the Jeep story through the ice at the lighthouse was one of the crazier ones, Jerry was always happy to see you and your family in the later years at soccer games when our kids played together. thank you for your kind words.
