Obituary of Eduardo "Eddie" Encinosa
Eduardo "Eddie" Encinosa of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 60 years old. Eddie was born in Bejucal, Cuba on September 4, 1963 to Eugenio and Onelida Cardenas Encinosa.
Eddie was a long-time resident of Hopatcong, NJ and he was employed as an industrial electrician and a maintenance programmer at Refresco in Wharton, NJ for the past 27 years. Eddie was the ultimate NY Giants Fan and could be found tailgating in the parking lot of every home game. He was fond of Ford Vehicles especially his Mustang and F-150 Truck. Eddie was a Bruce Lee fan and he enjoyed grilling, gardening, dancing, collecting Star Wars, Marvel and DC comic memorabilia, but most importantly, Eddie loved spending time with his cherished family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Laurie Encinosa (O'Connor), his son, E.J. Encinosa and his cherished granddaughter, Violet. Additional survivors include his, sister, Maritza Morel and husband, Renso, his brother, Felix Encinosa and wife, Nolvia, his brother-in-law, David and wife, Hui, his nieces; Ashlee, Amanda, Nalia, Maggie and Emily, his nephews; Michael, Robbie and Shane, his canine companion, Coco and too many extended relatives and dear friends to mention.
Eddie's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, June 30th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a 3:30 pm Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
To show your support, Eddie's Family encourages everyone attending Sunday's Services to wear a NY Giants or other sports jersey.
