Obituary of Margarita Camacho

Margarita Camacho (née Perez), aged 93, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, in Mount Arlington, NJ. Born on February 26, 1931, in Rio Piedras, PR, USA, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and faith.

Margarita worked diligently at a local flower shop before spending a decade at Better Belts. She retired from Coach Leather Goods, marking the end of a fulfilling career. A resilient and independent woman, she raised her five children primarily on her own, instilling in them values of hard work and love.

A longtime parishioner of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, her commitment to her faith was profound and unwavering. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hoboken, NJ, where she participated actively in the community.

Margarita is lovingly remembered by her children: Larry Camacho and his wife Martha, Margarita Wyckoff and her husband Mark, Eddie Camacho and his wife Miriam, Jose Camacho and his husband Greg Kirby, and Betsy Rubio and her husband Miguel. She also leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

Following cremation services, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Hackettstown Seventh Day Adventist Church, located at 927 County Rd 517, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, from 9am to 10am. A burial of her urn will follow at 11:30 am at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny, NJ. The Leber Lakeside Funeral Home in Landing, NJ, is overseeing the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mount Arlington Assisted Living Facility in Mount Arlington, NJ, honoring Margarita's life and her commitment to her faith.
