Obituary of Jeanine Ausmus

Jeanine Ausmus, 44, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center.

Jeanine was born in Hackettstown, NJ on May 10, 1980 to Linda (Bidetti) and the late Maurice Schall. Jeanine loved working with children. She spent many years as a preschool teacher, later as a paraprofessional in the Hopatcong School system.

Jeanine loved her family more than anything. She loved supporting her children in all their activities. Jeanine loved to travel, especially to beach!

Jeanine is survived by her husband of 22 years Jay, her daughter Madelyn, son David, Mother Linda, Sister Allison her husband Brien & their children Jayden & Vanessa, Brother Jason his wife Katherine and their children Brandon & Vivian, Niece Haylee, Step Brother Jim his wife Missy, Step Sister Nicole and several nieces & nephews, many beloved friends.

Jeanine’s Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Saturday, July 13 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  A prayer service will be offered at 5:30 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.  Sunflowers and the beach were Jeanine’s favorite so we encourage people to dress in fun summer clothes for this celebration.
