Obituary of Thomas Zavaglia Jr.

Thomas F. Zavaglia Jr., age 71, passed away on Friday July 19, 2024. Born in Passaic, Tom grew up in Hawthorne and was a long-time resident of Lake Hopatcong. Tom worked for 25 years at the Brookdale ShopRite in Bloomfield, retiring in 2018. Tom loved sports and was an avid fan of college basketball, the Mets and the Jets. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Las Vegas. Tom was the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice Zavaglia. He was predeceased by his beloved son Andrew and ex-wife Virginia. He is survived by four sisters: Mary Feuer and her husband Martin, Janice Chimento and her husband Patrick, Linda Termyna, and Susan Zavaglia, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services are private and entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing NJ.
