Obituary of Louise S. Reickord

Louise S. Reickord formerly of Randolph, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Merry Heart Assisted Living Center in Roxbury Twp., Succasunna NJ after a lengthy illness. She was 98 years old. Louise was born on May 13, 1926 in Nashville, Michigan to the late Fordyce and the late Melissa (Debolt) Showalter.

Louise was a long-time resident of Randolph, NJ before moving to Merry Heart five years ago. She was a legal secretary involved in bookkeeping and income taxes preparation for several prominent local firms before retiring. Louise enjoyed gardening, reading and playing bridge. She was an accomplished dog trainer specializing in Airedale Terriers and a longtime member of The Princeton Dog Trainers Association.

Louise is survived by her cherished niece, Pamela Ann Pearson and her nephews; David H. Vahlsing, Donald W. Vahlsing, Loran L.Vahlsing and Henry L. Vahlsing. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Adelbert Reickord in 2003.

Louise's Life Celebration Services are being conducted privately.
