Obituary of Karl E. Nester

Karl Eric Nester, 85, of Hopatcong, passed away on Monday August 26, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born on June 30, 1939 in Dover, NJ to the late Eric and the late Mildred (Stalter) Nester, Karl has lived in Hopatcong for many years. He served proudly in the United States Navy. Karl worked as an electrician for JCP&L for 25 years prior to retirement. He founded and established Nester's Greenhouses in Hopatcong and was a self-employed welder.

Karl enjoyed welding, working in his shop and watching NASCAR racing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; Nancy A. (Schmidt) Nester, children; Eric Nester and his wife; Jessica, David Nester and his wife; Jennifer Markesteyn and Stacey Jameson and her husband; Christopher, grandchildren; Kara Nester, David Nester, Lucas Nester, August Nester, Caitlyn Markesteyn and London Long.
