Obituary of Quincy C. Kirk Jr.

Quincy C. Kirk, Jr., 80, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 31, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Dartmont, WV on June 29, 1944 to the late Quincy Sr. and the late Julia (Dunlap) Kirk. Quincy served proudly in the United States Army from 1965-1967 as a Military Policeman. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a certified sharpshooter with both rifle and carbine. He has resided in New Jersey since 1961. He was the owner/operator of Kirk Interstate Motors.

Quincy enjoyed fishing, old pick-up trucks, having a friendly conversation with anyone, country music-especially George Jones, and boating. He loved dogs, working on his Peterbilt and fixing things. It was rumored he could fix ANYTHING with bungee cords and duct tape.

Quincy's greatest joy was loving and living for his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

Survivors include his wife; Patricia (Ryerson), children; Kim Kirk, Tammy Taylor and Quincy Kirk III, grandchildren; William "Bill" Taylor and fiancé, Mackenzie Whelan, Nicole Taylor, Madisyn Gutierrez, Michael Gutierrez, and great- grandchild; Sir William "Billy" Taylor, IV.

Quincy's services are private and entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Father John's Animal House.
