Obituary of Ray E. Pruden

Ray E. Pruden of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Ray was born in Hopatcong, NJ to the late Lester Pruden Sr & Nellie (Sutton).

He was a lifelong resident of Hopatcong but loved spending time at his second residence in Sarasota, Florida. Ray was the owner of R&M Auto Parts in Hopatcong for many years before his retirement. Ray enjoyed hunting, trap shooting and playing golf. Ray was a fire fighter with Northwood Co. #2. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ray is predeceased by his beloved wife Maryann in 2017 and a brother Lester Pruden Jr 2022.  He is survived by a sister Mary LaPointe & husband Jerry. His daughters, Robbyn Mabie & her husband Robert, Kelli Green, and his son, Scott Pruden.  Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren; Kimberly, Timothy, Tyler, Chelsea, Carley and Cortney, his great-grandchildren, Bentley, Layla, Samantha, Madelyn, McKenna, Timothy, Kayli, Dominic & Charolette. Many cousins, nieces, nephews & too many dear friends and relatives to mention.

Ray's Life Celebration Services will be held at Farmstead Golf and Country Club @88 Lawrence Rd. Lafayette, NJ 07848 on December the 7th 2024 starting @11:00 am.
