Obituary of Carole Jean Gantert

Carole Jean Gantert, 91, of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 23, 2024 at Merry Heart Assisted Living Facility in Roxbury Township.

Born in Dover, NJ on August 1, 1933 to the late Felix and Anna (Stanchak) Esposito, Carole worked for Medical Associates Neurosurgeons in Dover prior to her retirement.

Carole was an avid reader, also enjoyed traveling the world and frequenting her favorite restaurants with her life partner; Jerry. She was also a passionate animal lover. Carole's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons and new great granddaughter. Carole loved celebrating holidays and milestones, especially Christmas with her family. Carole always went the extra mile to make family gatherings extra special.

Carole was predeceased by her son John (Jack) Gantert and her life partner; Jerry Girard.

Survivors include her daughter; Jill Frato and husband; Marc, grandsons Nick Frato and wife; Lori and Alex Frato and wife; Katie and great granddaughter; Madison Grace Frato.

Family and friends are invited to Carole's Life Celebration on Sunday October 27 from 3-5 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Sunday evening at 4:45PM at the funeral home. Carole will be laid to rest privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Carole's memory to a charity of your choice.
