Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Leatham Sr.

Gerald "Jerry" Leatham Sr., of Roxbury Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old. Jerry was born on August 1, 1952 in Franklin, NJ to the late Richard and the late Shirely (Ball) Leatham.

Jerry had a varied career throughout his life and worked mostly in Morris County before retiring. He was a loving husband,Father and grandfather. He was a man of few words mostly but when he said something it was hysterical. Sarcasm was his language of choice. He enjoyed wood working, Nascar and working on cars. He had a real passion for the simple things in life and cherished the smallest. Jerry lived his life on his own terms but everyone knew he had a great big heart. He will be missed dearly.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Renee (Tierney), his children; Kerry Malakuskie (Chris) of Landing, Gerald Leatham, Jr. (Jessica) of Newton, Melissa Braxton of Roxbury, Nicole Ketch (Kevin) of Kenvil, Stephanie Leatham of Washington, Edward Leatham of Lake Hopatcong and Donald Leatham of Lake Hopatcong. His grandchildren Jenni, Gavin, Julie, Megan, Jack, Amber, Anthony, Aiden, Cameron, Keegan, Dylan, Logyn, McKenna and Nevaeh. His great grandchildren Jaxon, Lakelyn, Tripp and Cooper who is arriving soon. His siblings Diane, Don and Kevin. He is predeceased by his other siblings Richard, Dana and Jack.

Jerry's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, November 23rd from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782 at 201 Howard Blvd in Mt. Arlington, NJ 07856.
