Obituary of Albert C. Grenot

Albert C. Grenot, 70, of the Berkshire Valley section of Roxbury Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center.

Born in Dover, NJ on January 27, 1954 to the late Charles Grenot and the late Ruth (Letcher) Grenot, Albert has resided in Roxbury Township for his entire life. He worked at Acme Supermarkets/Albertson's Companies Inc. in Sussex County prior to his retirement. Albert's hobbies included golfing (even though the art of putting eluded him), spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoying a nice cigar. Albert spent 10+ years as a volunteer coach for the Roxbury Jr Gaels football program, which brought him untold amounts of joy. He would talk about teams he coached from 15 years ago and knew every player and every game they had. Seeing a young player master a skill he taught them truly brought a smile to his face. In the recent years Al worked at Flanders Valley Golf Course at the coveted position of a "Starter". He enjoyed seeing his former players come to play golf and still greet him as "Coach".

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Donna (Bocchino), son Andrew and his wife Christine of Budd Lake, son Peter and his wife Jessica of White Haven, PA, and 4 grandchildren, Turkey 1, Logan, Turkey 2, Noah, Turkey 3, Kinsley and Turkey 4, Ella, who called their Gramps the Big Turkey.

Albert's arrangements will be held privately.
