Obituary of Henry Sardina III

Henry Sardina III, 46, of Hopatcong, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. He was born in the same hospital on December 18, 1977. Henry lived in Hopatcong his entire life.

He was a successful business owner of L&H Sales and Service. Captain of Hopatcong Defiance Engine Company # 3 where he was really looking forward to becoming Fire Chief one day. He was past Captain and a past member of Hopatcong Ambulance Squad.

Henry was larger than life and touched the heart of so many people. He lived life on his own terms, but everyone knew he had a great big heart of gold. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends. He was passionate about being a fire fighter and helping the community. In his spare time, he enjoyed fly fishing, boating, quadding, shooting, and so much more. There's so much that can be said about Henry but not enough room to write it. May everybody find comfort and solace knowing he is looking over every one of us. Until we meet again, rest easy.

Henry is pre-deceased by his Father, Henry Sardina Jr. He is survived by his Mother, Peggy (Neilsen) Sardina, his Son, Kyler Henry Sardina, Fiancé Annette Vagnoni, late Father-in-Law Ralph Vagnoni, Mother-in-Law, Pat (Reardon) Vagnoni, Sister Kimmy (Sardina) Morris and late Brother-in-Law Dean Morris, Sister Jennifer Sardina and Significant Other Mathew Aue, Brother-in-Law Ralph Vagnoni and Sister-in-Law Amy Vagnoni, Nieces, Samantha Vagnoni and Significant Other Brandon Gazica, Samantha (Morris) Schenk and Husband Timothy Schenk, Hailey Nagy, Jessica Morris, Tiffany Nagy, Melissa Morris, and Goddaughter Michele Aue, Nephew Collin Morris, Great Nephew Samuel Gazica, Great Niece Lilith Gazica, and extended family.

Henry's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on Friday, December 6th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Fireman's Prayer Service offered at 7:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.

In addition, Family and Friends are invited to begin gathering at the Hopatcong Defiance Engine Company # 3- located at 43 Hopatchung Road in Hopatcong, NJ 07843 on Saturday, December 7th at 12:00 pm for an organized Procession past Henry's Home and then back to the Fire Department for Last Call Honors. After Last Call Honors, the family would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join them for refreshments and fellowship in the Fire House Hall.

Henry's cremation will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
