Obituary of Clare Helene Taylor

Clare Helene Taylor, 89, of Mount Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Clare was born on October 8, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Felix and the late Jeannie Napierkowski (Knapp).

Clare was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she was very active in the Catholic Church. She graduated Chestnut Hill College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Mrs. Taylor was a longtime resident of Mt. Arlington, NJ and worked tirelessly at the Mt. Arlington Public Library. Clare enjoyed going to Ocean City, NJ with her children, traveling around the world with her husband, watching her favorite game shows, praying the Rosary, and listening to Francis play the piano. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her cherished family.

Clare is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Francis Richard Taylor, her devoted children; Frank (Debbie) Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Clare (Al) Grabinski, Jeannie (Pete) Taylor, Bobbi (Tom) Monacelli, Christopher (Patty) Taylor, Damian Taylor and Angela (Ken) von Spreckelsen. Additional survivors include her cherished 17 grandchildren (please see list below) and 14 great grandchildren.

Clare's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Wednesday, December 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at:

There will be a funeral mass offered on Thursday, December 19th at 10:00 am at:

Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849

Clare will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
