Obituary of Elizabeth F. DiBernard

Elizabeth F. (nee: Roberts) DiBernard of Netcong passed away Saturday October 6, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Born in Sparta, she was raised with her 3 sisters and 5 brothers by the late William and Josephine (nee: Winters) Roberts. She lived in Ogdensburg before moving to Netcong 70 years ago. Known to her family and friends as Nanny "D", Elizabeth was a member of the Newton Country Club and the West Palm Beach Country Club. An athletic woman, she was an avid golfer who also enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, crocheting, knitting, painting and doing crossword puzzles. A homemaker, Lee retired from Picatinny Arsenal in 1943, where she met and married her late husband Frank. She and her husband owned Club 23 which was located in Netcong. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Frank; 2 son-in-laws: James Reilly and Anthony Contessa and a grandson: Dion Amendola. Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ann and Gerald Cetrulo, Susan and Dennis Malady, Fritzi and Jack Smith, Betty Contessa, Jodi and Jim D'Olivo, Mary Lou and Tom Amendola, Peggy and Al Ciampaglio, Jackie Reilly, Todd and Maryellen DiBernard, Bill DiBernard and Tony and Anne Marie DiBernard. Also survived by 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
