Obituary of Joseph P. Kasmedo

Joseph P. Kasmedo of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ. He was 78 years old. Joseph was born on February 16, 1946 in Passaic, NJ to the late Charles and the late Josephine (Sudol) Kasmedo.

Joseph was a computer programmer employed by Wayne Township for many years before retiring. He was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Joseph was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took pride in his garden and was known for sharing his abundant produce with family and friends - especially his delicious pickles.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Wanda Kasmedo and his sister, Ruth Cronin, several nieces and nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kasmedo.

Joseph's Life Celebration Services will include a memorial gathering to be announced by the family at a later date. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
