Obituary of Thomas Delahanty

Thomas Michael Delahanty, long time Hopatcong resident, passed away on Tuesday June 24 at his home. He was 79. Born in New York City, Tom has resided in Hopatcong nearly 40 years. He served in the United States Army near the conclusion of the Korean War. Tom was employed at McWilliams Forge in Rockaway before retirement. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Carol, four children Tom Delahanty, Paige Fitzpatrick, Shawn Delahanty and Terry Rutledge, his eight adoring grandchildren, Gavin, Jeremy, Tim, Hope, McKenzie, Bailey, Declan and Connor, a brother, Jimmy O'Connor and sister Patsy Delahanty. Tom enjoyed seeing his family happy and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by them all. All arrangements were conducted privately
