Obituary of Paula Catherine Tardive

Paula Catherine Tardive (Romano), of Netcong, passed away Monday September 10 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 85. Born in Netcong on August 17, 1927 to the late Paul and Anna (Puco) Romano, Paula and her late husband Vincent "Vindy" resided in Succasunna for 26 years. During that time, Paula was a founder of the Roxbury Football and Little League Women's Auxiliary Organization. Paula returned to her hometown of Netcong in 1973. As a devoted parishioner at St. Michaels Church, Netcong & a dedicated volunteer at their Out Reach program for many years. Paula was humbled and honored to receive the Vivere Christus Award in May 2012 presented by Bishop Serratelli. Paula was retired from the Boy Scouts of American in Randolph after 20 years of service In addition to her husband and parents, Paula is predeceased by brothers Thomas, Michael, William and Albert Romano and sisters, Frances Francomacaro, Rose Soranno and Rachel Balzano. Loving mother of Gail Tardive of Netcong, Ronnie Marks of Netcong, Jerry Tardive and wife Valerie of Stanhope, Roseann Lehmann and husband Scott of Sparta, Jill Fry and her late husband Wayne of Long Valley, Linda Best and husband Robert of Mt. Olive and Jeanette Jones and husband Toby Taylor of Texas. Cherished grandmother of 12 and adoring great grandmother of 14. Dearest sister of Agnes Burke and husband Bill of Hackettstown and Richard Romano of Landing. Paula's greatest legacy was her endless devotion to her family and the values she instilled in them. Her presence will be missed by all the lives she touched.
