Some 55 years ago or more I was always so jealous of my brother. Every Saturday morning he would get to go to Netcong High School and play basketball at a program that "Bubs" ran. I would hang around and when they would go to the showers Bubs would show me how to play basketball and said, don't worry Patty, we will get a girls program. Sure enough he ran a program for the girls in the afternoon. There I learned to play and love basketball. I later went on to form and coach the 1st Netcong High School Girls Basketball team. Bubs was one of the first advocates for women's sports.
