Obituary of Jimmy LaBell

Jimmy "Dinger" LaBell entered into eternal rest with his family by his side, on August 18th, 2012. He was a long time and admired resident of Netcong, NJ, and had lived in Stanhope, NJ, for the past 18 years. Jimmy was born on September 13, 1958 and was raised in Netcong, NJ. He was a graduate of Lenape Valley Regional High School and attended Tarkio College in Missouri. Jimmy was employed by Tilcon NY, in Wharton, NJ, as a Teamster Stewart for Local 408/560, where he enjoyed working with his brothers, Joey and Michael. Jimmy was a NJSIAA wrestling official for 22 years. He also coached both football and wrestling for over two decades. He was an avid sports fan and took great pleasure in watching his daughter and three sons participate in athletics. Jimmy was the president of the Assumption Society in Netcong, NJ, and a member of St. Michael's Knights of Columbus. He was a dedicated parishioner at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Netcong, NJ, where he volunteered for perpetual adoration for over 15 years. Jimmy LaBell's greatest happiness was his family, especially his beloved wife, Pamela (Bates). Together they would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on August 30. They raised four beautiful children - daughter, Lynsie, and three sons, Jimmy, Andrew, and Dominic. To his family, Jimmy instilled a love of family, faith, and commitment. Jim was generous, gregarious, and "larger than life" to so many people. Jimmy was the son of Theresa (DeFelice)LaBell and the late Donald LaBell of Netcong, NJ. He is survived by his sister, Dolores Tardive and her husband, Gabriel, of Netcong, NJ; his three brothers, Donald of Blairstown, NJ, Joseph and his wife, Sandy, of Stanhope, NJ, and Michael and his wife, Susan, of Stanhope. He is also survived by his in-laws, Donald and Jean Bates of Netcong, NJ; his sister-in-law, Angela Goldberg and her husband, Roland, of Farmingdale, NJ; and his brother-in-law, Shawn Bates and his wife, Dana, as well as many nieces and nephews.
