Obituary of Louis R. Merkler

Louis R. Merkler of Ledgewood passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. He was 81. Born in Staten Island NY, he lived in Hopatcong before moving to Ledgewood 7 years ago. He was a retired Navy Master Chief and proudly served his country for 21 years. He later worked as a courier for General Research in Denville and as a driver for Lakeland Bus and Byram Bus. Louis enjoyed working and was an avid reader. Beloved husband of Janet M. (nee: Johnson). Devoted father of Jeryl Kulpa and Raymond L. Merkler, Sr. and his wife Carmelita. Cherished grandfather of Raymond L. Merkler, Jr. and his wife Melissa, Stefan Kulpa, Lynn Kulpa and Stephanie Weber and her husband Tim. Dear great grandfather of Jake Timothy Weber.
