To Julio's children- I met Julio in 1992 at Dover Hospital when I was pregnant with my first son. Julio and I became fast friends. He saw "kindness and a smile" in my eyes and reminded me of that all of the time. He followed my boys growing up and never failed to ask about them, or to tell me of his latest adventures. I cried with him, laughed with him, and mostly just relied on him to be a sounding board and a great wise one. He was a mentor, an example of human compassion and wisdom, a loving man who often told fond stories of his children and his beloved wife, and a man whom I shall miss dearly. I left Dover two years ago, and still visited with Julio when he was working. I did not find out about his passing until afterwards, or I would have come to tell you each how much he was loved. God Bless you all, and thanks for sharing a great man with so many of us. Lorrie Schoemer, Blairstown

Mr. B.:
Always remembered me; he would smile and recall when I as youth was often frustrated over my lack of skill bugling.
God bless.

We knew your father for many, many years. From the time we met him, we had so many laughs and good times. The later years, he was our greeter at St. Clare's and always had a smile for us. Always asked about either of us and our friends. He was truly a gentleman and a good friend. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Peter, I regret we are away and unable to pay our respects in person. Meeting your father, I found him to be very droll. While it is a great blessing to have a father of such longevity, it is nonetheless tough to lose a parent of any age. Our fathers were born the same year and attended Fordham at about the same time! I read your Dad's obituary on the website. I did not know/remember about his career, especially his retirement career with the National Executive Service Corps and St. Clare's. Both his extensive travels, but also his social conscience help me to see the father in the son, or perhaps vice versa. Best to Ron and our condolences to your entire family. Love, Miriam, Emily and Ken

Herman, we just met and Karen warned me that I would like you right away. You helped raise a wonderful family. I was scared out of my mind, I told Karen I wanted to ask for your hand in marriage, and you didn't bat an eye. I thank you for that. Rest In Peace. You will be missed
