Obituary of Peter F. Schneider

Peter F. Schneider of Hamburg passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Medical Center, Morristown. He was 74. Born in Elizabeth on November 2, 1937 to the late Leo P. and Johanna "Honey" (nee: Matz) Schneider, Peter lived in Hopatcong until 1978 when he moved to Flanders. Peter resided in Flanders in a home which he helped design and build both the house itself and its intricate rock retaining walls. In 2006, Peter moved to his current residence in Hamburg. A graduate of the Newark College of Engineering, he was an electrical engineer for Lucent Technologies in Springfield for 26 years. Peter was an Air Force veteran and was assigned to the Strategic Air Command. He enjoyed golf, country music, travel, touring interesting places, playing cards and building and tinkering in his garage. Beloved husband of Frances "Fran" P. (nee: Quagliana) Schneider. Devoted father of Peter F. and Terri J. Schneider. Brother of Richard and the late Leo Schneider. Dear brother in law to John Quagliana and cousin of Lucille Werner.
