Mrs. Wiard would visit her daughter at Saint Clares in our department and I really got to know her. She was one of the loveliest people in the way that she always smiled even maintaining that smile when she spoke to you. Mrs. Wiard mentioned to me many times how proud she was of Jeanne and her lovely granddaughter Heather, who also used to spend time with us occasionally on her days off from school. I shall remember her kindness to me in always stopping to ask how my day was going. I know that the lovely memories Jeanne and her family have will carry them through the days they spend without Mrs. Wiard.God Bless you Mrs. Wiard.

I only knew "Nana" for a short amount of time, but was always happy to go see her and Pop Pop whenever I was invited over with Sarah. Never have I met a more uplifting woman than her, and it saddens me tremendously to see another amazing person leave a place where so many good people are needed. Her love for God and family were her addiction, as she would spend hours praying for people at night... some she had only met that day. Her kindheartedness and generosity made myself, and perhaps everyone around her, want to be a better person. But as I spend a moment to reflect, it's clear that Nana had done her part in this world to help and influence the lives of others. Her kind words will be everlasting in my mind, and the Wiard family in its entirety is wholesome because of her and Pop Pops love and care for family. Nana was part of a generation long ago that taught morals, had values and put family first. It's rare to see nowadays but because of her strong influence she has helped pass on, her virtues will be carried on for generations to come. A legacy was left by Nana; and it was (from my perspective) to tell someone you love them when you feel it, always show you care, and with God by your side, do 'good' in this world to the best of your ability. Godspeed Nana.
