Obituary of James Francis Sullivan

James Francis Sullivan, III of Hopatcong, NJ died Monday, January 12, 2015 at Morristowm Medical Center in Morristown, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 80. Born in Orange, to the late James and Adel Sullivan, Jim grew up in North Arlington and has resided in Hopatcong for 53 years. He graduated from St. Benedict's High School in Newark and received a degree in business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1964. He served proudly in the United States Navy. Jim worked in food sales, first with Douglas Sales of Elizabeth and after progressing through the industry ranks, owned his own food sales company; Sullivan Associates. Jim loved playing golf and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. Jim's true passion in life was food. He was an original "foodie". He loved buying, preparing, grilling, serving and, especially, eating food. Devoted husband of Lucita Marie (Ciresi), loving father of Mary Beth Wenrich and spouse, William, the late James F. Sullivan, IV, Michael D. Sullivan and spouse, Syeda and Lisa Marie Watrous and spouse, Richard, cherished grandfather of Erica Dhuy, William Wenrich, Amy Wenrich, James F. Sullivan, V and fiancé, Alexis Mann, Thomas Sullivan, Shane Sullivan, Zachary M. Sullivan, Mia Y. Sullivan, Richard Watrous, Meaghan Watrous and Nicolle Watrous and dear brother of John Sullivan and spouse, Susan and Paul Sullivan and spouse, Eileen. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Jim's Life Celebration includes visitation on Thursday January 15th from 4-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Friday, January 16th beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Michael's RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Jim will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
