Obituary of Gary J. Scocco

Gary J. Scocco of Hopatcong passed away January 20, 2012 at home. He was 64. Born in Jersey City, he spent his childhood in West New York and has resided in Hopatcong for the past 24 years. He was the owner of Geodetic Associates, LLC in Andover. A graduate of Penn State University, Gary was an avid fisherman and boater. He was a member of the Lake Hopatcong Sail and Power Squadron, ASP&RS and a parishioner of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Sparta. Beloved husband of Ann. Devoted father of Lori Knox and her husband Art, Shannon Fritsche and her husband Holland, Lori Nuzzo and her husband Charlie, Brandon Chamberlain and his wife Dena, and Amanda Nuzzo and her husband Joseph. Cherished son of Evelyn T. and the late Victor Scocco, Jr. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Dear brother of Thomas Scocco and his wife Toni, Linda Oliger and her husband Peter, and Rev. Victor J. Scocco. O.SS.T. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday January 24 from 5:00-8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday January 25 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta. All are invited to meet directly at church.
