Obituary of Catherine Counterman

Anna Catherine Counterman, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township, passed away on Wednesday December 31, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born on July 31, 1926 in Greenville, NY to the late Charles and Nellie Decker, Catherine resided in Dover prior to moving to Kenvil in 1960. She was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed caring for her vegetable and flower gardens. Catherine was predeceased by her loving husband, Vernard in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Ida Mae Harden, a son, Charles A. Counterman and his wife, Diane and a sister Charlotte Counterman. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Catherine's Life Celebration will include visitation on Monday January 5, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A prayer service will be offered Tuesday January 6, 2015 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Catherine will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
