Obituary of Craig Bradley

Craig Bradley of Hopatcong passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at home. He was 70. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson and Mountain Lakes before moving to Hopatcong in 1962. He was a realtor with Realty Executives in Sparta. Prior to this he was the owner of Van Genderen Auto Parts with stores in the Hopatcong area. A graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Craig served in the National Guard. He was a member and trustee of the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Club, a member and board member of the Lake Hopatcong Historical Society and a member of the Hopatcong Board of Health. He was active in both the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, enjoyed sailing at the lake for over 50 years and enjoyed riding around the lake in his beloved "Redwing". He is predeceased by his parents and his brother. Beloved husband of Marge. Devoted step-father of Cory Deermount and his wife Sherry and Kathy Muzyl. Dear step-grandfather of 5 step-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting on Wednesday November 9th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A private burial will be held on Thursday November 10th in the Seaside Cemetery in Palermo NJ. A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club Historical Foundation, PO Box 133, Landing NJ 07850, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 14 Commerce Drive, Cranford NJ 07016 or to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Since his passing, his family has received condolences describing him as "a gentleman who cared about doing the right thing for people and going out of his way to help others". His college brothers have described him as "one of the coolest low-keyed guys".
