Joel and I were so sorry to hear about Terri. Even though we only knew her for a short time it was very easy to see what an amazingly strong and brave woman she was. May you and your family cherish the wonderful memories you had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything that you need.

Phil, William and Emilee Terri was one special lady, she fought a courageous battle never complaining of her pain. Always there to lend a helping hand and wearing her beautiful and courageous smile. We will miss her dearly. Camp won't be the same, she always brought special cookies that we loved. I will miss her trips up and down past our camp, always stopping in for a little chat. My Grandson Dylan and all William and Emilee's friends will miss her taking them to the beach at camp, and trips to Lake George for a fun day. In between always finding time for a walk down and back up Grassville Rd. or a hike with friends from camp. She was a wonderful Wife, mother and friend.Terri RIP honey and fly high with all those beautiful angels watching over your beautiful family. You will always live in my heart. I will always love and miss you my friend. God Bless your soul!! <3 <3 Love Aggie, Kim and Dylan

Terri,
Today is the fourth hardest day that I have had to endure the past 3 weeks. The first was telling William and Emilee that you were very sick and would not be around much longer. The second was telling them that you were gone. Yesterday was making your final arrangements. Today, by far, will be the worst - saying good-bye to you. We will be celebrating your life in a way fit for a queen.
You are my baby sister and a fighter like no other. You never gave up. You did what you had to do regardless of the pain it caused you, regardless of the medications you had to take, regardless of how many surgeries you had to endure. You are so much tougher than I could ever be.
The day we told the kids that you were very sick, we visited you. Not sure how your state of mind was (because of your illness), I was not sure if you would recognize me. When I went to see you, I asked you if you knew who I was and you looked at me and said, "My lovely sister". It was at that moment that I knew you were mentally fine:). l will NEVER forget those words.
You were an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many people. You always put the needs of William and Emilee before your own - even up to the end. You probably did not realize how many people's lives you impacted and how many people thought of you as the strongest, most courageous person they knew. I did not realize it either until I read all of the tributes and things that people wrote about you. If I could go on to my next life knowing that I had touched half as many people as you did, I would be happy.
Today I promise you that I will take care of William and Emilee the best I possibly can (Phil not so much - he is on his own:) I'll NEVER replace you, but I will be their second mother - some things never change. I will try my best to be there whenever they need me. I already love them like they are my own and could not love them anymore if they were my own.
Today I celebrate your life and passing along with William and Emilee and Phil and all of those who love you - relatives and friends and just acquaintances who came to know you through other people. There will be tears - lots of tears - some will be sad but some will be happy. There will definitely be laughter too. There will be stories and memories to be shared by all.
You will always be my baby sister - we were 2 peas in pod - 2 redheads who looked alike but yet were so different in our life styles. Everyone knew we were sisters - yet you were always the tougher one. Always one to speak your mind regardless of what people thought about you and what you said. I was the one who worried about what people thought. I am the one who loves curtains and bedding and everything in order. You could not be bothered with curtains or bedding or if the house was not immaculate.
You are now free to do what you could not do the past few months and I know you will be looking down on us - especially the kids. You will be their special guardian angel.
I love you and I know you are with daddy and Donna. Daddy must be very happy to have 2 of his 3 daughters with him. Tell him I'll be reunited with all of you in time but I am in no rush:).
Until we meet again, I will always be ………………
Your Lovely Sister

To the Metzger and Castagna family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I grew up across the street from the Castagna's. Five kids in my family, five kids in their's. We all hung out together and had great fun. Terri and my sister were the babies in the families, and Janice and I were their sudo-moms. Thank you for the fond memories, and God bless you.
Love,
Marguerite Engel-Mucchiello

One of my favorite memories is when Aunt Terri, William, Emilee, my mom & dad my brother & I were at the Great Escape Amusement Park and we all were getting something to eat & aunt Terri went over to the condiment station & started taking handfuls of condiments & stuffing them into her bag. William started yelling Security... I have known her my whole life & I love her so much. I also loved staying over her house & making arts & crafts. I will always have those special memories... I love Aunt Terri... Thank you for being my aunt.

I remember the first time I met Aunt Terri the first thing she said to me was, Hi! I'm Aunt Terri ans this is Uncle Phil. She was the first person to expect me into this wonderful family with out even knowing who I was. That was almost 15 years ago and even though she wasn't my "blood" aunt, she never cared about that. She looked at me and my little brother as anyone else. The phrase blood is thicker then water has changed in my mind. Blood is thicker then water but water washes blood away. Thank you for being a wonderful aunt. I love you Aunt Terri.

I Will always remember all the great times we had together over the past 15 years. You became the Sister I always wished for.
Terri was my sister in law & from the very first time we met at Emilee's christening as her brother in laws girlfriend she was nothing but open arms to me & my two boys.I will never forget the words she said "Hi I am Terri I am your sister in law " & to my boys she said " Hi I am aunt Terri & this is uncle Phil"
When Roger & I decided to get married she helped me with the planning & shopping & she was my matron of honor.
We always gave updates to each other when one of our kids was sick & we always gave each other ideas for birthday & Christmas gifts for our kids.
Terri would do anything for you, she was a strong woman and if you needed her she was always there for you. She loved her family & friends & she loved working at shop rite.
My snapshot of Terri was nearly a 15 year relationship as a sister & a friend. I stand here fully aware that there was so much more than just my snapshot but I can tell you in my snapshot I saw a mother, a friend, a fun loving person who thought nothing about driving to White Haven, PA on a Sunday to go see my old town & to go shopping.
She loved to laugh & have fun. When we went to universal in nov 2013, we went on a lot of simulated rides together, but I will always remember the last ride we went on in universal, in Dr Seuss land our last ride was on one fish two fish red fish blue fish. Even though we got drenched we had the time of our lives.
But there is 1 more adjective I feel that greatly describes Terri, the woman that I was privileged to know. One adjective that could only begin to describe the experience of suffering from cancer that word is BRAVE.
For the past few years she has been a brave warrior. She has been scared, confused, it has been an extremely hard time for Terri and for all that loved her. But she always had a smile on her face and never gave up & never complained.
It doesn't seem fair to be reading this about of 49 year old sister in law of whom I truly loved. Terri thank you for all the fun times you brought into my life as you watch down upon us as you shine in the sky at night & dance in the breeze that kisses our faces, know that in the depth of your soul that you were always my favorite sister in law.
