Obituary of Lenard G. Sadowski

Lenard G. Sadowski, Sr., age 66, of Lecanto, Florida passed away on September 28, 2011 at Hospice of Citrus County after a long battle with cancer. Born in Maspeth, Queens, NY, Len lived in Hopatcong for over 40 years before retiring to Lecanto, FL in 2006. Len enjoyed traveling the "USA C2C" by RV, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Len was a member of the Lake Hopatcong Elks Club, a lifetime member of the Columbia Valley Rod and Gun Club and former Regional Director of Newmar Kountry Klub. He was instrumental with the development of a Freightliner Cabriolet RV. When in Florida, Len achieved a rank of Lieutenant at Crystal River Sail and Power Squadron. Len is survived by his wife Barbara of 46 years, three children and two grandchildren; Son, Len Sadowski, his wife Katie and their two children Patrick and Caitlin of Matawan; Son, Rich, his wife Patti of Hopatcong; Daughter, Christine of Hopatcong; his beloved Goldendoodle, Bella. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday October 15 from 2-4 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing.
