Obituary of Emily Mae Bernhey

Emily Mae Bernhey died Sunday July 24 at home. She was 88. Born in Monticello, NY, to the late Charles & Addy Smith, Mrs. Bernhey resided in Lake Hiawatha prior to residing in Hopatcong from 1989 to the present. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, word puzzles and bird watching. Devoted wife of the late Robert E. (2000), loving mother of Robert & his spouse Peggy and Richard & his spouse Mary D., beloved grandmother of Jennifer N. Cunningham & her spouse Glenn and Alicia E. Bernhey and dearest sister of Edith Porter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday July 30 from 2-5 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A prayer service will be offered at 4:30 pm at the funeral home.
