Obituary of Alfred Boehm

Alfred Boehm of Newton passed away on Sunday July 17, 2011 at Newton Medical Center, Newton. He was 63. Born in Aichach Germany, he came to the United States when he was 5. He was raised in Chatham and lived in Port Morris before moving to Newton 11 years ago. He was a police officer with Picatinny Arsenal in Dover prior to his retirement in 2009. A Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Al was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the ocean and his family. Devoted father of Alfred J. Boehm and Michael Cantagallo. Loving son of Louise (nee: Oppermann) Boehm and the late Alfred Boehm. Dear brother of Harvey and Paul Boehm and Inge Brink. He is also survived by his dear friend and ex-wife Marge Boehm. Arrangements are private.
