Obituary of Ronald W. Stanwick

Ronald W. Stanwick past away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. He was 77 years old. Born in New York City and lived in Greenwich Village. After high school and one year of college he worked at General Foods Corp. He enlisted in the Air Force in March of 1952 to March of 1956 and was a Topographic Computing Mapper. After the service he worked in the drafting department at American Cyanamid Company in New York City. That is where he met the love of his life, his wife Lenore together for 50 years. He returned to college and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1967. He also worked as an accountant at Wells Fargo and then the Newark Star ledger as a Benefits Administrator/Accountant. After being married Ronald and Lenore lived in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Stanhope for the past 44 years. For many of the last years they spent time traveling using their time shares. He loved to talk with people and his great sense of humor made them laugh. He enjoyed collecting stamps, postcards, reading, doing puzzles, loved all types of music and was a member of Blessed Kateri Parish in Sparta. . His family meant everything to him. He dearly loved his three children and ten grandchildren. Scott and Karen of Palm Harbor, FL., Kurt and Susan of Stillwater, NJ and Holly Portington of Netcong, NJ. Adoring grandchildren Lauren, Blake, Samantha & Tiffany Stanwick, Maximus, Emily & Olivia Stanwick, Kristen, William & Melissa Portington. He will be missed by all.
