Obituary of Paul Miller

Paul "Buddy" Miller died peacefully Wednesday May 25 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA surrounded by his loving family. He was 64. Born in Weehawken, NJ Buddy grew up in North Bergen, NJ and resided in Hopatcong, NJ from 1973 - 2002 when he moved to Tobyhanna, PA. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked as a roofer for 41 years before retiring in 2007. He was last employed by JP Patti Co., Inc in Saddle Brook, NJ. Buddy was an avid hunter & outdoorsmen and member of the Chestnut Game Association of Green Township, NJ. Buddy loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Martha "Marty", loving father of Denise Dougherty and her husband Keith, Jennifer Cinotti and her husband Michael and Paul Miller and his wife Alison. Adoring grandfather of Michael, Jr. & Nina Cinotti, Avery & Jillian Miller, Katie & Dalton Dougherty and Jimmy & Kyra Birchenough. Also surviving is his first wife Carol and his stepdaughters Melissa Pellegrino and Bernice Birchenough and her husband Jimmy. Dearest brother of Virginia Bickhardt and her husband Bill and Paulette Cunningham and her husband Mike. Cherished uncle, cousin and friend to many. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 31 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. Cremation will be conducted privately. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service on Friday June 3 from 9-10 am at the funeral home. A prayer service will begin at 10 am followed by interment of cremated remains at the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township, NJ
