Obituary of Catherine L. Young

Catherine Louise Young of Ledgewood, NJ and formerly of Port Morris, NJ died Wednesday, December 10th at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born November 14, 1944 in Dover, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Pauline (Honrath) Rogers She enjoyed spending time with her family while vacationing in Chincoteague, Virgina watching her beloved wild ponies. Catherine was a 1962 graduate of Roxbury High School. She was a paralegal and was employed by Barry L. Gardner Esquire, Picatinny Arsenal and AT&T Legal Departmtnet before retiring. She was a longtime parishioner of Port Morris Methodist Church. Catherine is survived by her devoted daughter, Pauline L. Stevenson & her husband, Michael, her cherished grandchildren, Morgan and Duncan Stevenson. Additional survivors include; her sister-in-law, Genevieve Rogers, many beloved nephews, including Russell & Theodore Rogers, many beloved cousins, including Eleanor Comnos & her husband, Robert, William Huck & his wife, Kim, her brother-in-laws; Overton, Gary & Ronald Young. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, James R. Young , her son, Gregory P. Young, her brother, Russell Rogers and her cousin, William Honrath. Catherine's Life Celebration includes visitation on Sunday, December 14th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service offered on Monday, December 15th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Friends and family may begin gathering at 10:00 am Monday morning prior to the service. Catherine will be laid to rest at the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ.
