Obituary of Eileen T. Hipwell

Eileen T. Hipwell, of Mt. Arlington, passed away on Tuesday May 6 at her home. She was 82. Born on July 25, 1931, in Wharton to the late Francis and Annacelesta McGrath, Eileen resided in Punta Gorda Isles, FL for 10 years and was a long time resident of Mt. Arlington. She worked as a secretary at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway before retirement. Eileen was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mt. Arlington, enjoyed ceramics, bingo and "back in the day" she enjoyed drag racing cars with her late son, John R., Jr. In addition to her son, Eileen was predeceased by John R., Sr., James J., one brother and one sister. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Margaret Mary and Kimberly Ann Hipwell, one brother, five sisters and her grand dogs, Cozmo, Karson and Kloee. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, May 9 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake, Mt. Arlington. Following Mass, Eileen will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mine Hill.
