Obituary of Lillian F. Carley

Lillian F. Carley (nee: McGarrah) of Sussex County died Thursday January 20, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. She was 86. Born in Bronx NY, she lived in Chattanooga, TN before moving to Sussex County 35 years ago. Having graduated from Cathedral High School, Lillian attended Hunter College. She began her career as a long lines operator with AT&T in Manhattan. Prior to her retirement, she was a clerk with Verizon in Madison. Lillian was a parishioner of St. Jude RC Church, Hopatcong. Beloved wife of Thomas E. Devoted mother of Patricia R. Carley and her husband Scott T. Kearney. Dear sister of the late Arthur and the late George McGarrah. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday January 25 at 10:00AM from the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. Thence to St. Jude RC Church, Hopatcong, where at 11:00AM a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered. The interment will be held on Wednesday January 26 at 12:00PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. All are invited to meet directly at the cemetery. Visiting will be held in the funeral home on Monday January 24 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cathedral High School, 350 East 56th Street, New York, NY 10022.
