Obituary of Olga Verbesky

Olga (Murin) Verbesky, 92 passed away on Tuesday December 28th, 2010 in Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Olga was a woman who loved life, family and friends. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey to the late Steven and Julia (Ilchin). Mrs. Verbesky was employed by Schering-Plough in Bloomfield, NJ and retired in 1980. Throughout her life she lived in West Orange, where she raised her family, Holiday City in Toms River and recently in Lake Hopatcong. She is survived by: her two sons; Allan and wife Edythe of Mt. Arlington, N.J., Steven of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., her brother Leo Murin; two grandchildren: Suzanne and Stevie Lee; Extended grandchildren: Marc Brown and Suzi Amendolaro; Great-granddaughter Alexis Amendolaro. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander, brothers John, Steven and Peter. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service on Monday January 3rd at 10:00AM from the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home 150 Landing Road, Landing, N.J. The funeral home will open at 9:30AM. A committal service will be held at 11:30AM at the Chapel of Saint Giles at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 from 5-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Verbesky may be made to the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, N.J. 07052.
