Obituary of Josephine Brandon

Josephine "Nana Jo" Brandon passed away on Monday May 5, 2014 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna. She was 99 years of age. Born in Belleville on January 29, 1915 to the late Dominick and Catherine Fava, Josephine was a lifelong resident of Dover. She worked as an assembler for Reliance Picture Frame in Dover before retirement. Josephine enjoyed walking, often, several miles a day, especially to the mall. She was well known for being an outstanding cook and homemaker, famous for her delicious apple pies. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Loving wife of the late William Brandon, Sr. (2000), Beloved mother of William Brandon, Jr. and wife, Sharon, Robert Brandon and wife, Carole, Janet Carducci and husband Martin and the late George Brandon, cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Brandon and wife, Kimberly, Karen Austro and husband, Ben, Nancy Glasser and husband, Brian, Marty Carducci and wife, Kerry, Paul Carducci and wife, Leilani, Michael Carducci and girlfriend, Eve Cantelmi, Peter Carducci and girlfriend, Keri Grasso, the late Marc Brandon, Stephanie Pavese and husband, Adam and Chrsitopher Brandon and wife, Aylin, adoring great grandmother of 13 and dearest sister of the late Peter Fava and the late Lillian Carchio. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate "Nana Jo's" life on Thursday May 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday May 9 beginning at 10:00 am at St. Therese Church in Succasunna. All are invited to meet at church prior to Mass. Josephine will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
