Obituary of Rudolph Astore

Rudolph "Rudy" Astore of Hopatcong died Monday November 29 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville Campus. He was 76 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY Mr. Astore resided there prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1973. He served in the US Army from 1958-1960. He worked as a Building Maintenance Mechanic for Trans World Airlines at JFK International Airport in Queens and prior to that he worked at Newark International Airport. He was often heard exclaiming; "Go TWA - travel with the angels." He held a Gold Seal Fireman's license for boilers. Mr. Astore was a member of the NJ Jaycees, a parishioner of St. Jude's RC Church in Hopatcong and formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn. Devoted husband of Lucy (Serpe). Beloved father of Guy & his wife Vanessa and Rudy Jr. Loving grandfather of Ashley and Amber. Adoring great grandfather of Kaden. Dearest brother of Marion Stephens, Joe Astore, Fred Astore, the late Minnie Vilardi, the late Connie Tubello, the late Helen Pearson, the late John Astore and the late Albert Astore. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. "Travel with the Angels"
